WHY HAS CELEBRATE FAIRFAX DECIDED TO RESCHEDULE THE DATES OF THE 2020 CELEBRATE FAIRFAX! FESTIVAL?
Due to the statewide Stay at Home order effective until June 10th, and the growing concerns over the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are forced to consider other options and to postpone our summer event. This decision was made with the health and safety of the Fairfax County residents, our attendees, partners, volunteers, and staff in mind.  The specific date(s) will be released in the coming weeks, but we are currently targeting October 2020. 

WHAT ARE THE NEW DATES FOR THE FESTIVAL?
We are currently targeting for October 2020. Once we finalize the details, we will provide updates through our social media channel and website. 

ARE MY VIP TICKETS VALID ON THE NEW DATES?
Yes! If you purchased tickets during our VIP pre-sale, they are valid for the new date. All perks associated with these tickets will be honored.

WHAT IS THE VIP TICKET REFUND POLICY IF I CANNOT ATTEND THE NEW EVENT DATES?
In light of COVID-19 and with the health of our attendees and staff in mind, we are relaxing our no refund policy. If you purchased a VIP ticket during our pre-sale and are unable to attend, you have the option to make a donation to the Celebrate Fairfax Education Fund (Celebrate Fairfax, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit) or request a refund. Please follow the steps below:

For Refund Requests (Note: you will be redirected to the Etix website)

  • Allow up to 60 days for all refunds to be processed as this is an incredibly busy time for both Celebrate Fairfax, Inc. and our ticket provider, Etix. 
  • All refund requests must be submitted by Monday, June 1, 2020, 11:59 PM. Please give us time to process these requests.

I AM AN EXHIBITOR/FOOD VENDOR/SPONSOR OF THE FESTIVAL. IS MY BOOTH STILL CONFIRMED FOR THE NEW DATES?

I REGISTERED AS A VOLUNTEER FOR THE FESTIVAL. AM I STILL REGISTERED? IS MY SHIFT CANCELLED?
If you signed up to volunteer before April 17th, 2020, your volunteer shift has been cancelled. However, we will still need your help to put on the Festival in October! To register for a new shift, please check our Volunteer Page for more information.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE PROGRAMS AND PERFORMANCES THAT WERE ALREADY SCHEDULED FOR THE FESTIVAL? 
We are  working to ensure that the programs and performances remain the same for the new date. More information to follow in the coming weeks!

WHAT KIND OF SAFETY MEASURES WILL THE FESTIVAL IMPLEMENT AT THE EVENT?
The safety and health of our attendees, volunteers, partners, and staff is our first priority! We will be monitoring the situation during our planning process and adjust our plans according to guidance we receive from Fairfax County and others, to ensure the proper safety measures are in place.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK IS NOT CONTAINED BY OCTOBER?
We are monitoring the situation closely and we will adjust our plans as needed to ensure the best decisions are made during this process.

WHEN WILL THE 2021 CELEBRATE FAIRFAX! FESTIVAL TAKE PLACE?
The 2021 Celebrate Fairfax! Festival will be taking place in June 11-13, 2021.

WHERE DO I PARK?
Park and ride the free shuttle to the festival. Shuttle stops at Fair Oaks Shopping Center and on Fair Lakes Circle. Follow signs to the bus stops!

HOW MUCH IS AN ADMISSION TICKET?
You can find all ticket information by visiting our ticket page at: https://celebratefairfax.com/tickets/

DO I HAVE TO PRINT MY TICKET OUT?
It is up to you! You can print your ticket out or you can show your ticket on your phone and we will scan the barcode.

WHAT IS THE EXIT AND RE-ENTRY POLICY?
Wristbands to leave and re-enter the festival are available at all gate areas daily. Re-entry wristbands will be valid for a single, same-day re-entry. You must receive a re-entry wristband when leaving in order to come back to the festival later that day. Tickets do not have the ability to be scanned twice.

ARE CARNIVAL RIDES INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF ADMISSION?
No, carnival ride tickets must be purchased separately. We will update our website with prices and our ride guide closer to the event

Parking at the Festival:
Permit Parking Only – Parking levels under the Government Center are by permit only. Permits are valid only for the duration of the Festival.

Kiss & Ride/Uber/Lyft Drop Off: Located across the street at the Pennino Building (12011 Government Center Pkwy, Fairfax, VA.) All pick-ups/drop-offs should use the address above for reference.  

Free Parking & Shuttle Bus Stops:
Celebrate Fairfax! makes it easy to access the festival via our FREE Shuttle Bus service.  The Celebrate Fairfax! shuttle bus service will take you round trip from nearby remote parking facilities to the front door of the festival at NO CHARGE.  The FREE shuttle runs every 5-10 minutes. Follow signs to the bus stops!

Shuttle Bus Schedule: Friday, 4:30pm-12:30am; Saturday, 8:30am-12:30am; Sunday, 8:30am-7:30pm.

IS DISABILITY PARKING AVAILABLE AT THE FESTIVAL?
Yes, Celebrate Fairfax! is accessible for persons with disabilities.  On-site parking at the Fairfax County Government Center is available for individuals with valid DMV-issued disability parking permits.  Regular-sized vehicles with valid disability parking hang-tag or license plate must enter through the Green Gate and will be directed to garage parking.  Oversized vehicles with a valid disability parking hang-tag or license plate must enter through the Green Gate and will be directed to surface parking in the Friends of the Festival Lot.  A golf cart is available to transport visitors with disabilities to Festival program areas.  Ask the Green Gate Chairman for assistance upon arrival.

IS ABSENTEE VOTING STILL AVAILABLE AT THE GOVERNMENT CENTER?
We are working with Fairfax County to update this information as soon as possible!

CAN I RENT A BABY STROLLER OR WHEELCHAIR AT CELEBRATE FAIRFAX!? 
A limited number of wheelchairs are available for FREE on a first-come, first-served basis in the festival office. In order to reserve a wheelchair, a government-issued photo identification card must be left with festival office staff and will be given back once the wheelchair has been returned.  We do not offer baby stroller rentals.  For on-site assistance, visit any of our information booths or speak to a gate supervisor.

WHAT IS PROHIBITED AT THE FESTIVAL?
To ensure a safe and enjoyable festival experience for everyone, the following are not permitted at the festival: 

* Coolers, pitchers or glass containers
* Soliciting
* Removing alcoholic beverages from the site
* Laser pointers
* Lawn or beach chairs
* Pets, except for service animals for patrons with disabilities
* Boom boxes and audio recording devices
* Scooters, roller skates, skateboards, bicycles, hoverboards, or in-line skates
* Professional still or video cameras
* Climbing on any scaffolding towers or stages
* Smoking at any tented areas or indoor venues
* Defacing property within the festival site (this may result in prosecution)
* Bringing in outside alcoholic beverages 

Bags, backpacks and other hand-carried items are subject to inspection. Blankets are welcome. Umbrellas may be brought in, but you may be asked to lower them in concert areas to allow all guests access to stage viewing. Please note that shirts and shoes must be worn while on the festival grounds!

WHAT TIME ARE THE FIREWORKS?
The Leidos Fireworks are at 9:30pm on both Friday and Saturday night.*
